Jessica Bubert is a junior in the Agronomy and Plant Genetics Department at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is majoring in applied plant science with a plant improvement emphasis with minors in agronomy, plant biology, and soil science.
Jessica has completed internships with Winfield Solutions LLC, as a crop protection product development intern and as a technical editing intern for the company’s Crop Protection Guide, as well as with Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc as a maize research intern. Additionally, she studied soil science as an intern at her local Soil and Water Conservation District Office.
As a student leader, Jessica is involved with the collegiate and national Agri-women organizations, Beta of Clovia agricultural sorority, and the UMN Gopher Crops and Soils Club. She is currently serving as President of the National SASES organization. Jessica plans to attend graduate school in plant breeding, and hopes to have a career as a researcher in either industry or at an academic institution.
