Jason Cavadini is a student in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences at University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UW-RF). He is majoring in Crop and Soil Science with an option in Soils. Jason is a Junior and plans on graduating in 2010.
His major area of interest is in soil fertility, and nutrient management. In the summer of 2008 he worked for Dow Agro Sciences Mycogen Seeds as an Agronomy and Sales Intern. He also conducted an independent research in the summer of 2009 on his home farm in Middle Ridge, WI. Through his research, Jason observed how soil erosion is effected by row-spacing in no-tilled soybeans. He plans on doing a similar follow-up research on no-tilled crops in 2010.
Jason is the Vice President of the UW-RF Crops and Soils Club, and is a member of the Soil Judging Team. He also enjoys working on his home farm, spending time in the outdoors, is active in his church, and most recently became a father.
