Nominate yourself for the Golden Opportunity Scholars program. This year you have two options.
about 20 students will be chosen in 2016
up to 10 students will be chosen in 2016
Both programs will provide for students to travel to the Societies' Annual Meeting and be paired with a mentor.
Greenfield Scholars will specifically be paired with a certified professional in their geographic region and will attend a local meeting with their mentor in addition to the Annual Meeting. The Greenfield program is designed for students with little to no interest in going to graduate school and would like to prepare themselves to enter the ag workforce upon completion of their associates or bachelors degree. If that does not describe you, you will only want to apply for the traditional Golden Opportunity program. If that does describe you, you will want to apply for Greenfield Scholars or both programs.
If you would like to be considered for both programs, you must apply to both programs. You are welcome to directly copy and paste your answers from one application to the other. The selection committees are completely separate and will only see one of your applications.
If you have any questions about these programs or applications, please contact Emily Fuger firstname.lastname@example.org (608)268-4949.
In addition to Golden Opportunity Scholars, the Societies also offer several scholarships and fellowships for undergraduates:
